We at Convolution Engineering Consultancy *(CEC) are thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of our recent two-day conference held in partnership with *World Conferences (WC) and graciously covered by our media partner, AAJ TAK news channel. **The “International Conference on Recent Dam Failures – Causes & Concerns” *convened on the *18th & 19th March 2024 at the prestigious Sarovar Portico Hotel in New Delhi, India, marked a milestone in the civil design and infrastructure sphere.
This conference brought together more than 100 delegates, speakers, and industry leaders in dam engineering and hydrology, focusing on the pressing issues surrounding dam design, construction, and maintenance.
Our discussions delved deep into the complexities of dams near glacial boundaries and the impacts of Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOFs), providing invaluable insights into enhancing dam resilience and longevity. Highlights included expert presentations on various types of dams, such as concrete gravity dams and Concrete-Faced Rockfill Dams (CFRD), offering a comprehensive analysis of their advantages and disadvantages.
